Financial Application Developer
As an Application Developer (Sr. Programmer Analyst) you will leverage your experience in financial systems, along with 3GL or 4GL languages, and RDBMS experience to work in our Application Support Group to develop, enhance, QA, and troubleshoot our clients products.
Responsibilities include programming using a 4GL and a relational database. You will work closely with Financial Application Specialists to enhance Portfolio Plus, QA any enhancements or fixes, and troubleshoot any problems.
The ideal candidate has considerable knowledge of a 3GL or 4GL and at least one database. Knowledge should include:
• Record Locking, Scoping, and Bracketing
• GUI Design
• Portability Considerations
• Performance Impact of Code
• Unix and MS-Windows Programming
Financial background should include:
• Understanding of accounting
• Understanding of basic banking including loans, term deposits, interest payments, account transfers, asset management, investment management, etc.
