Overview

The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of quality assurance including planning, specification, implementation, and reporting. This position requires superior communication, organization, dedication and coordination skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

The QA Analyst will be responsible to create the ground work required to write test plan and test objectives for a large project that is going to be fully tested by a group of off-site test engineers in China. He/She will interact daily with off-site engineers through Skype, email and telephone and provide the technical test support needed for this group to operate efficiently and smoothly. He/She will also participate fully in writing and running test cases along with the off-site engineers and provide daily report to the QA manager.

The QA Analyst be attending various project meetings with project stakeholders as well as participating in daily test progress updates with the client during the test execution period.

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years experience in QA with a minimum of 1 year experience in Team leading and Coordination

• 3 years experience in web application testing

• Working experience in performance testing, stress testing and load testing

• Working knowledge of test automation in general and Quick Test Professional in particular

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation Server

• Working knowledge of one of existing load/performance test tools (i.e. Microsoft Visual Studio Test Edition, Load Runner or another tool)

• Working experience with different testing methodologies

• Working experience with a remote site

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

• Experience with Test Management and Defect Tracking tools

• Strong knowledge of writing test plans, test cases, test reports, and test status reports for management and peers

• Experience in interacting with both technical teams and client/end users

• Self-starter with a flexible mind-set.

• ‘Out of the box thinker’ with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

• Ready to work after hours and weekends to address outstanding off-site issues and to catch up with work in progress

• Operate with minimal guidance and capable of addressing issues along the way

• Hands on with all technical QA related matters

• Capable of working within the boundaries of tight schedule, limited budget, varying scope and demanding client
