I. POSITION:
To purpose of the QA Analyst’s role is to:
• Carry out testing activities related to projects ensuring all deliverables and release to specification and high quality
• Be responsible for carrying out regression tests
• Rise and prioritize bugs and re-test bug fixes
• Become a user expert on how our products work, gaining an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses
• Help develop the QA team by continually improving processes
II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creation of test plans:
• Identify/define how testing for the project will be conducted
• Define what exactly will be tested and how
• Preparation and documenting any set up work needed for specific test, i.e. Data preparation for specific scenario tests
Conduct testing:
• Execute tests as documented in the test case (QC)
• Log bugs and work with Developers in resolving them
• Retesting and closing bugs when they have been resoled
• Keeping clear records of all bugs identified, producing progress reports on a regular basis
Perform Regression tests:
• Ensure all regression scripts are kept up to date in accordance with specified functionality
• Update all regression documents when new functionality is released
• Execute regression test cases as part of overall build process

IV. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
• QA/Testing experience in a technology/led company, working as part of QA/Testing team
• BA in Computer Science
• Good understanding of QA processes and the Software Development Lifecycle
• Exposure of issue management and bug lifecycle
• Familiarity with translating business/functional requirements into test cases
