QA Automation Analyst (Spadina & King)

Our company is continuing to grow. We have a Quality Assurance Analyst position open for an individual with experience writing automated test scripts, preferably in a Silktest environment. This is financial software, so a background that includes some accounting would be helpful.

You are responsible for:

Designing, implementing and executing test cases for our features. That includes creating test designs, and performing feature testing. We expect you to be proactive about finding bugs early, following through and ensuring that they’re fixed.

Duties include creating, scripting and running acceptance tests, verifying defects reported by outside groups and actively participating in product/feature team meetings. If it relates to your feature, you own it.

The ideal candidate has financial accounting (ie. not just accounts receivable/payable experience) education or background and is capable of mastering bug finding/writing and product assessment skills. You have an aptitude for acquiring deep product knowledge, and are excited about working in a technically challenging environment.

Applicants MUST meet the following requirements:


• Detail oriented, self-starter, and strong problem solving skills;

• Have quality assurance scripting background; and

• Be a recent college or university grad, preferably;

In addition a mix of the following skills and experience is useful:

• Good knowledge of Windows,

• Knowledge of Silktest or Visual Basic scripting

• Ability to effectively communicate, in writing and verbally, with developers and outside groups,

• Good communications skills (english)

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and

• Financial Audit or Accounting experience is helpful.

Candidates will be required to sit an exam. The exam is 1 1/2 hours.
