QA Analyst, Contract/Securities, Investment or World Markets (Toronto)

You will:
 

 
Obtain requirements, functional design, and internal design specifications and other necessary documents
 
Attend requirements discussions, review requirement documents, review past information, talk to BA’s and developers - enough to understand the basic changes and to be able to estimate the test cases needed to ensure quality coverage.
 
Work with the Business Analysts, Architects, Developers and others to identify areas that are changing in the application, have a high impact to the business or have in the past been problematic in terms of quality.
 
Create clear, concise test procedures and cases and execute test cases based upon test designs, business requirements and system requirements to validate system functionality under supervision of a Senior Analyst or Manager
 
Execute tests and document test results analyzing test outputs to investigate discrepancies and track issues through to closure following all QA processes and procedures.
 
Ensure all defects found in Testing are reported in Remedy.
 
Maintain and update test plans, test cases, test environment, and testware through life cycle
 
Determine initial test input data requirements
 
Implement and execute automated test scripts.
 
With supervision from more senior team members, analyze test outputs, document test results, investigate discrepancies and track issues through to closure.
 
Ensure all defects found in Testing are reported in Remedy.
 
More senior members may also perform test design tasks with management assistance on smaller projects
 
Create test designs based upon business requirements, functional specifications, technology requirements and test strategy with supervision.
 
You bring experience within the securities, investment or world markets field as a very high preference. If not, at least banking.
