Our client is a Microsoft partner seeking a BA for a full-time contract for 3 to 6months with extension possibilities..
Job Summary:
As a Business Analyst you will be a key member of the Delivery team. You will be working with the company’s most strategic customer to gather requirements, map as-is and to-be processed, produce functional specifications, test plans, and other project related documentation.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Gathering user and system requirements to determine the business needs of project stakeholders
• Translate user and business requirements into functional requirements and specification documents for use by the project team or developers
• Analyze end user needs and work with process analysts to develop SharePoint solutions to increase efficiency, streamline processes and increase collaboration.
• Develop and document the business requirements, design specs, prepare test plans and perform post migration quality assurance that encompass all aspects of supporting the SharePoint initiative.
• Documentation of current business processes ‘as is’, performing the gap analysis comparison to ‘desired’ outcomes, and providing the recommendations for solving the gaps
• Leads business teams and cross-competency teams completing tasks related to business solution planning, business case development, documenting and managing customer requirements throughout the development lifecycle. This includes requirements definition, requirements analysis, process analysis; requirements change management, use case and business process modeling, logical system design and high level estimating.
• Create process models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction and associated documentation
• Manage and track status of requirements
• Communicate changes, enhancements and modifications to project stakeholders to ensure understanding of issues and solutions
• Assist in research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and support purchasing efforts
• Review all project deliverables that are related to requirements, solution design and testing ensuring that business needs are addressed
• Other duties as assigned
Must Have Skills
• Prior consulting experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Microsoft Certification
• Excellent interpersonal skills with effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to assimilate and process new information quickly.
• Proven experience interacting directly with end users.
• Results orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have Skills
• Previous experience working in School Board projects
• Experience dealing with classification of information into websites, databases and portals
