OPPORTUNITY

We have an immediate, full-time job opening for an “Application Support Specialist” to join our software development team. Actively participating in the release management process, you will be responsible to ensure that our production and staging installations are operational and remain trouble free. Additionally, you will be supporting our client base by diagnosing various application configuration and execution issues at remote installations.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Deploying and managing application patches, upgrades and releases in production and staging environments.

• Monitoring and maintaining internal and managed client application deployments.

• Supporting client requests regarding various application issues, e.g. custom reports regarding accounts, licensing and data stores.

• Creating and updating software installation and update manuals.

• Be a liaison between clients and product development team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience

• 2 -3 years of Oracle SQL experience

• Good understanding of Java build environments, with particular emphasis on automation tools (e.g. Maven, SVN, build installers).

• Experience in technical writing, preferably in a software application development environment

• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

• Ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable and clear manner

• Enjoy working with people and sharing knowledge

• Good understanding of technical subjects and general business knowledge

• Ability and willingness to learn subject matter quickly

• Basic understanding of software and interface development process is preferred
